Barrier Reef Scuba Diving Belize
This tour departs from San Pedro, and it takes just a few minutes to reach the barrier reef. The Belize Barrier Reef is one of the top attractions in the Belizean Caribbean, and is one of the most intact reefs in the Northern Hemisphere. Participants must have their diving certifications before taking this tour. Choose from 1-tank or 2-tank dives, or a 1-tank dive at night (cost of a dive light not included). You’ll dive to a depth of 60 to 80 feet (18 to 24 m).

The reef hosts a tremendous variety of marine wildlife. During your dive, you’ll see pillar and boulder coral along with sea fans and sea sponges. Look for tiny fish and other marine wildlife hiding under the ridges of the coral reef — these types of ridges are called “spurs” and “grooves,” and they’re formed by the waves headed for shore.
Divers to this reef can expect to see groupers, nurse sharks, spotted eagle rays, and sea turtles. These animals are fairly used to human visitors, and sometimes they’ll swim alongside you as you explore. This is just a short list – the reef is home to 500 species of fish and marine invertebrates.
Participants should be certified divers and in good physical and medical condition with no physical limitations to participate. Certification card should be presented.
This tour does not include meals, BCD (Bouyancy Control Device), Regulator, Masks, Fins or Park fees to sites visited.

What to Bring
